سورة الأنعام

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Surah al-An'am

42. We sent messengers to communities before you, and We afflicted them with misfortunes and hardships, so that they may be humbled.
